Our ladies are putting in some consistent work this off-season and it will payoff once the season starts this year. The off-season concludes in just under two months and then we will move into "Pre-Season" mode where you should be hitting another gear and actively prepping for the start of your season.
So what can we do with what's left of the off-season ... the part of the year where most changes happen to the gap between an athlete and their peers? Simple ... if you have been putting in consistent work already, continue that and see it through to the season ... if you haven't been doing everything you could be doing or have been taking a break ... these last 60 days are where you jump in with your peers and make sure you are hitting the ground running when the pre-season begins. If not, you will see that gap widen between you and your opponents this season and not in a good way.
Out here spitting facts ... truth bombs if you will. Wherever you were last season ... everything can change. Depending on YOUR actions during the 9 months between seasons, you could see girls you regularly beat last season defeating you this season OR you could see yourself competing with and defeating girls who were a level above you last season. It all comes down to the work you put in during the off-season. Wrestling rewards commitment with level jumping ... the level of your commitment during those 9 months between seasons will directly determine your level of success once the season comes back around.
We are roughly HALF WAY THROUGH the development period between seasons ... Be realistic with your goals for the upcoming season versus the level of effort you have or will be putting in towards development.
