Power Upper Body ⚡️

Logan is naturally explosive. My job isn’t to simply give him more work—it’s to develop his ability to express that explosiveness.

Today we targeted three different ways of producing and transferring force:

• Explosive pressing
• Unilateral pulling + trunk control
• Rotational power

These qualities don’t exist in isolation. Sprinting and long jump require the entire body to work together to create, transfer, and express force quickly.

That’s why we prioritize intent and velocity.

Power isn’t about getting tired.

It’s about moving fast.

Quality > quantity.

Growing up, I played both baseball and volleyball — volleyball was actually my favorite. But baseball was the path that opened the door to a scholarship, so that’s the one I chased, and it took me all the way to pitching at the D1 level. That experience is really where this all started — learning what it takes to move well, recover, and perform when it matters most.

From there, I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, then went on to complete my Master’s in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida. Along the way, I completed a strength and conditioning internship with the Sports Performance department at Vanderbilt University — working hands-on with elite athletes and learning what actually separates good programming from great programming. Since then I’ve coached at the college level and worked with athletes across hockey, soccer, baseball, volleyball, lacrosse, track & field, and softball — from middle schoolers just starting out to D1 athletes chasing records.

But the real reason behind the name Moving With Purpose goes deeper than sport. I’m a man of faith. I put God first in everything I do, and I believe every single thing we do should have a purpose behind it. That’s not just a business philosophy — it’s how I try to live. So when I train an athlete, it’s never just movement for the sake of movement. There’s intention behind every rep, every session, every plan. That’s the purpose. That’s why I do this.

Last lift before Minnesota. Makenzie wraps up her summer break with a foundation (GPP) block before heading back to prep school — no wasted reps, just building the base she’ll need once the season picks up. D1 commit, and it shows in how she works. Excited for this year. 🏒

This is what we worked for all summer.

Grace is officially cleared and her sophomore season starts TODAY ⚽️. Help me wish her luck as she takes the field against Lehigh University.

So proud of the work she put in. Go get it, Grace.

Day after a game. Body is talking.

This is what I do before anything else.

13 movements. Foam rolling, mobility, breathwork. Full system reset — nervous system, posterior shoulder, thoracic spine, hips.

No ice. No passive rest. Active recovery is what the research supports and what I feel in my body every single time.

Give them a try and let me know how it goes.
