I was a little apprehensive when asked to participate in the first annual Terry Gordon memorial 5k/1 mile Run/Walk. Who me? Haha what time is it? 9 am is a little early for a Saturday 🥴 , not to mentioned I haven’t ran more then 2 miles on a treadmill all year.
I am so out of running shape,I shouldn’t.

Then a little voice in my head said well you have a week to decided. So I randomly choice to run 5 miles two days before the race just to see if I could even run that far. 😅 It honestly felt terrible at first but I got it done in 60 minutes and I was proud of myself for finishing. Still not really convinced I would actually sign up for the 5k so I enlisted an accountability partner! Thank you Gabrielle Villanueva❤️

I’m super excited I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and did it! I crunched my goal and finished it in 37 minutes which is 8 minutes faster than I thought I would. It was also very nice to be a part of a community that supports and encourages one another. I looking forward to participating to next year Terry Gordon memorial 5k/1 mile Run/Walk.

Whatever it is that you are scared of doing, feel the fear then, do it away!

Sometimes you can’t carry everything into the next Chapter, and that’s okay.

I know that growing can be uncomfortable but keep going. Keep growing. You are moving on from this part of your journey and into the next. Sometimes your arms can't carry everything and everyone into the next chapter. Don't shrink yourself to resist change. Spread those wings and fly to where you know you need to go to be your best self.
