Tonight Scheels at 7 pm I’m giving a free seminar on Rigging and Jigging. I’ll be talking about how to set up various proven fish catching rigs and when to fish them, along with tips to improve your success jig fishing year. This bass was caught using a Carolina Rig on Boyd. The seminar is in the training room on the second level by the fishing department. Hope to see you there!

Scheels Angling Academy starts this Thursday Jan. 22 at 7 pm in the training room past the elevator by the fishing department. Evan Cox will be giving a free seminar on Pond Fishing Using Finesse Techniques. Evan is one of the best anglers in northern Colorado, who loves to fishing the local ponds when he’s not out fishing the BASS Opens with the goal of making the BASS Elites. Ill be there hosting the series of seminars and look forward to seeing you there!

Bass fishing legend Dion Hibdon passed away early Monday morning, January 12, 2026 at the age of 58. The fishing community mourns his loss. Read more in the comments.
