Platte City Aikikai Aikido classes for anyone 5 years to adult Aikido is a martial art developed in the principle of peaceful energy. Aikido is the poem. Each school, a stanza.

Blending with the energy of your opponent, you absorb his hostility, neutralize it, and defeat your opponent without harm. Aikikai is not one style of Aikido, but a study of all the styles of Aikido. Each instructor under Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido, had their own interpretation of what Aikido meant and their own way of moving. Only by studying the whole can we seek to understand its me

aning. Platte City Aikikai is taught by Sensei Todd Dodson at the Platte County North YMCA Community Center in Platte City. We invite you to join us and study the Way of Peace together.
