With the final two weeks of the California season being open to juniors and archery hunters, the SoCal Prouty turkey call crew was able to get 2 brothers out for their first turkey. With their dad being deployed overseas, we were finally able to get the boys out and the oldest brother was able to score his first tom. Talk about some of the happiest kids we’ve gotten out this season, little brother did a great job rooting for big brother. Now we’ll be working on getting the little brother his first bird.

Old man's still got it boys. I usually don't post kill pics, but I gave you a little post game highlight. National forest ( which cant hunt after 1pm) and boxed in around the rest of this field is private i cant hunt either. All I had was bout an 8 ft wide wood line of what I could hunt to get a good angle to work from.I dropped my vest and sling off and the fun began. I used the dips and drainage to belly crawl to a little rise above the dozer pile and took about 2 hours. Field birds can be killed.
