Been a while since posting under DPR misadventures, but this one was definitely worth an update. Bout 10 years ago or so, introduced a young angler to the lure of the clear blue open Gulf. In the years since, he has learned, grown and now runs his own misadventures. We did not repeat our tuna feat from long ago, but we made up for it beating up on Mahi including a Sho enough Bull on pretty light tackle caught by Aaron. We also spotted three Marlin and went 0-1 on our single marlin hookup. Oh yea, and i saw my first Whale lumbering along in the clear blue water but he would not stay up long enough to get the saddle on. Gulfin is pretty fun stuff

Took a trip with Captain Crochet’s Cajun Misadventures yesterday afternoon and he delivered big time. 50 degrees and sunny with 42 degree water temp made the fishing outlook dim, but we found some beautiful redfish willing to open up and say ahhhhh. Excited to get back to WV with some fresh Red’s for the grill. Christi roberts favorite!

Family Floating and Fishing
Little trip on clear, moving water in search of little mouthed bass. Pretty day and gave away several free mouth piercings.

Northern Fishing Adventures
waited clear till May to land the first fish of the year. It was actually a fluke with only about a dozen casts during a FAST float down the river for fun. However, one fish does turn it into a fishing trip!

1st raft misadventure in the books already! Took the roberts and Malone crews on a bus tour of the cheat river. Kids loved the rock jump stops and the drop out and drift through the pool event. I think the cheat has some new FOC members

Ila wanted to go to the beach for her birthday. We decided to go big and take her to the world famous Venice Beach! we were amazed to get there and not find crowds of tourists lining the beach for the Holiday weekend. maybe we were early? with Christi Thomson Roberts
