As many of you know, I have been competing in LONG DRIVE for a number of years. Today is not about me but someone I met 20 years ago. Many of you know Jo D Duncan-Armstrong. Jo D is in a battle with cancer. She has been a teaching pro at Norwood Hills Country Club; participant on the Golf Channel's Big Break; and competitor in the ReMax World Long Drive Championships. Jo D has given her time and efforts to make those playing the game of golf better. Jo D has always been there at Norwood Hills for those wanting to improve their game. Will you join me today and take a minute to say a prayer in hopes that Jo D will receive the healing graces to cure her cancer and once again be a fortress in the golf arena.

It's my understanding the field is set for the United States Senior Long Drive Championship to be held September 10th and 11th at the Missouri Bluffs Golf Club. You can check out the field at: www.seniorlongdrivers.com . If you want to see world class long drivers show how it's done, come out and watch. It's free to the public. The competition starts at 9:00am on Saturday with finals for 4 divisions starting at 6:30pm that evening. Two other divisions will compete on Sunday starting at 9:00am with finals for those divisions immediately following the preliminary rounds. Hope to see you there.
