She fell off the treadmill!! 🤦🏽‍♂️😭

I remember it like it was yesterday...

It 2012 and I was about to conduct my first ever personal training session with Susan.

I don’t know who was more nervous. Her or myself.

I remember how much courage it took her to overcome her fear of working out in public and starting her weight loss journey.

I was so proud of her and excited to help her get started and her first training session was going perfect until the end...

We were cooling down on the treadmill when next thing I know she was flying off of it.

In front of everyone 😮

Right then my short lived personal training career flashed before my eyes and as I helped her up I could of sworn I was about to lose my first client.

But, you know what happened?

She laughed.

And when we went back to my desk to recap the workout we both discovered together that something like falling off of the treadmill wasn’t going to stop her from trying.

Why?

Because she had already made the first step.

What’s the first step?

It’s simply committing to getting started. It’s the hardest step of the weight loss journey but it’s the most important one.

And what Susan and I discovered that day is after the first step is taken nothing can knock you down.

Not even falling off of the tread mill.

Flash forward to 2019 and I have learned so much more about helping others ladies like Susan and even opened up my gym to do so.

She is such a pleasure to have in class because of her playful attitude, no matter how many burpees! Mechelle has been consistent in her workouts and has even started to fit it into her early Monday morning routines. She is such a rockstar, and a wonderful addition to our fit fam!!
