Another class in the books! 🎨🎣

This time I had the opportunity to spend the day with Tyler at Top Notch Taxidermy, watching and learning the process of painting a replica northern pike.

So much goes into getting the colors and details just right, and I picked up a ton of great information and techniques along the way.

Here’s Tyler’s finished pike — absolutely beautiful work! Thank you, Tyler, for sharing your knowledge with me. Now I’m ready to put what I learned to work! ❤️

Last day of refreshing my fish skills! 🎣 And here are the finished products!

I had the opportunity to do the hands-on work on this walleye while learning from Digger along the way. He finished it off with the painting, and watching his techniques come together was an incredible learning experience.

I also got to learn how to paint a replica bluegill, which was another great opportunity to expand my fish-taxidermy skills.

A huge thank you to Digger for sharing his amazing knowledge, tips, and techniques with me. I learned so much and can’t wait to put everything I learned into my next fish!
