Dear PAL family,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a beloved member of our PAL family.
Traci Turinese, PAL supporter and volunteer, wife of longtime PAL coach and volunteer Mike Turinese, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, November 17. Her loss is deeply felt, not only by her husband and family, but by all of us who are touched by her kindness, encouragement, and unwavering support of the athletes and ideals that the Plainville Athletic League stands for.
She was a true champion of youth athletics….always cheering on our players-especially the softball athletes-with words of encouragement, and a beaming, ever-present smile that lifted spirits.
Her appreciation for the benefits of organized sports was evident in everything she did, and her actions spoke louder than words. She believed in the power of teamwork, discipline, and joy that our league brings to young people, and she gave herself generously to make that vision a reality.
To honor her memory and celebrate the life she lived so fully, but mourn together a life cut so short, we invite the entire PAL community to join Traci’s family for a gathering at the American Legion Hall, 44th S. St., Plainville, MA, this Sunday, November 23 from 1 PM to 3 PM
Together we will share stories, remember her contributions and support one another as we grieve and celebrate a remarkable woman who gave so much to our league, our youth and our town, but left us way too early.
