Out with the old and in with the new! Header gaskets that is - we definitely needed a new one. 😂

Just doing maintenance to gear up for the next weekend out which will be this weekend when we head to Wichita so the boys can race for some Wallys!

As the day comes to an end I look back and smile. Today was a good day! The Pfanenstiel family brought home some hardware and enjoyed a beautiful day out in the sun surrounded by beautiful cars and kind people.

Gotta give a shout out to the Kesters (Dean Kester & Libby Kester) and all of the other Stockton Rodders. They always put on a great event and do a great job at making sure there is something for all the ages.

Dunc was able to enjoy the bounce house, receive a free Hot Wheels car to compete in the Hot Wheels Drag Races, and even place 3rd in those races. While he didn’t win best pedal car, he did receive youngest rodder for his entry. 💙

Brent entered the Kansas 811 Camaro and brought home several awards - check his or Brandon’s page to see exactly what all he won. 🙂

And lastly, we are well aware the Heavy Metal Camaro is not exactly “show car” material but several people stopped to learn about its history and talk racing with us. And it even won an award - “Neater than a Beater”. Which honestly might be my favorite award yet 😂

I’m thankful Dad (Jeff Duncan) and Christina were able to make the trip for Father’s Day! It’s always a good day when family and cars are involved.

This! This is why you will always see Dunc with us at the track. Yes, it would be easier to leave him with a babysitter, but he will look back and see that he was involved in all of the memories too! 💙

One day, he’ll be old enough to remember the race wins, the trophies, and the late nights at the track.

But I hope what he remembers most is that he was always right there with us.

The dirt on his shoes from running through the pits. The sound of engines firing up. The people who loved him like family. The way he fell asleep in our arms long before the final checkered flag.

Right now, he’s too little to understand why we spend our weekends at racetracks.

But someday I hope he looks back and realizes it was never really about racing.

It was about family, memories, and spending every lap of life together. 🏁❤️

We’re at the 16th annual Swing into Summer Car Show with all the hot rods.

We’ve got Dunc’s White Whale Jr Pedal car entered in the Pedal Car category. Brent in the Kansas 811 Camaro and myself in the Heavy Metal Camaro have some stiff competition, but hopeful to snag some awesome hardware to add to our collection.

Today we honor our good friend, Hubert, who passed away yesterday. Hubert was the perfect judge of a good looking car - he could spot any imperfection in paint or body lines. We will miss you Hubert and we will keep the cars cleaned up just for you! ❤️

Balancing being mom and a race car driver has its challenges, but raising my boy at the track is a dream come true! 💙

There was a lot of discussion prior to race season as to how to go racing with a toddler in tow. I think we’ve worked out a pretty good system! We also have amazing help in Brent and also Chelby is a life saver if we get super busy!

Remember that knock that I heard yesterday and we swore it was going to be detrimental to our race season? The kind of knock that causes a racer’s heart to sink? Yeah, that one. Check out the video to see what that awful knocking and clanging was!😅

Unfortunately I kicked it 006 red in second round. I had to sit in the car alone for a bit after that one. . . The frustrations had really set in. Fortunately, I’ve already been in contact with my chief mechanic (Jeff Duncan) and my crew chief (Brandon Pfanenstiel) so we have a plan in place to help this driver find the green lights.

The rest of the Pfanenstiel Fam showed up though! Brandon made it down to 6 cars before kicking it red as well and of course, Brent found the winner’s circle once again!

We’ve got a couple off weekends for racing, but plan to attend a car show next weekend in Stockton! So if you have no plans on Saturday, swing by and see us!
