How about this storyline.. The Giants draft JJ McCarthy from Michigan. They have him sit behind Daniel Jones for a year.

At the end of the year Giants management decides Brian Daboll hasn’t done well enough, so they fire him.. And this ex-pat still has friends in the building, the Giants decide to hire Bill Belichick.

Because once upon a time he helped them win a Super Bowl there.. And when McCarthy starts, Bill will have success with a second Michigan QB..
