Our Revolution U11 FC Spotlight player for this weekend is Fabian!
If you’ve ever watched Fabian on the field, you know one thing — he never stops. His voice, his energy, and his communication lift everyone around him. And when he takes off running? Good luck keeping up. He may be one of the smallest and youngest on the team, but that doesn’t slow him down for a second. If anything, it fuels him!
Off the field, Fabian is just as special. He’s sweet, friendly, funny, and loves spending time with his brother. He loves Jesus, cares deeply for others and has one of the kindest hearts you"ll ever meet. His passions? Soccer, basketball, and a good cheeseburger. When he is not at the soccer fields he is hooping with the Plainfield Youth Red Pride travel team which he has been part of for the last 2 years and where he brings the same fire and positivity. In school Fabian enjoys math class the most, loves to spend time with his friends at recess and participated in The Battle of the Books this year.
Fabian's recent accomplishment was to participate in ODP Junior Olympian trainings and to be chosen to play and represent Indiana in St. Louis —he was super excited!
As a soccer fan, Fabian is cheering for France to win the FC26 World Cup trophy, and he’s all in for FC Bayern to win the UEFA Champions League. That’s the kind of soccer spirit he brings everywhere he goes.
Coach John’s comments:
Fabian is relentless, he’s a competitor in every sense of the word and has a will that won’t quit. With that said, we can also find him encouraging his teammates and using positive words to help keep their spirits up. Fabian is a joy to coach because of his drive, fearlessness, and you never have to question if he’s putting in his maximum effort. While Fabian lives for scoring goals, some of my favorite moments are when he gives up good shots to get his teammates great shots, or when he puts his body on the line to block a rocket from the other teams. I threw a scissor kick in his video package, because I also love when he is brave enough to try something new and special in a game.
