Over the past decade Meg has become increasingly interested in health, wellness and fitness on a personal as well as global level. She has come to study and practice Aromatherapy, Yoga, Reiki, nutrition, harmless home cleansing techniques and remedies, as well as gardening. Her interest in yoga led Meg to study and practice asana in the forms of vinyasa, yin, and restorative as well as various bre
athing and meditation techniques. She feels there is always time to re-center the body and mind and strives to make the practice of yoga and meditation accessible to everyone from every walk of life, whether they have an hour or simply 5 minutes. In 2010 after a few years of practice she took her 200hr RYT in Vinyasa Yoga, which strengthens the body by building heat through linking the breath with movement. She studied at Sonic Yoga in NYC where she was taught by many former dancers and loves capturing the graceful spirit vinyasa embodies. She began to study the effects stress has on the body and the benefits aromatherapy and an 'enhanced' savasana (aka Restorative Yoga) can have to reduce that stress. In 2012 she studied with Judith Hanson Lasater and earned her certificate in Restorative Yoga, which positions the body in specific ways for a long period of time to release held stress and boost the body's natural defenses. Since then she has found the beautiful complimentary practice of Yin yoga, which targets rarely-worked connective tissue and ligaments by holding familiar poses for longer (typically 3-5 minutes). She loves using elements from all three practices to increase the body's ability to maintain homeostasis while feeling utterly blissful.
