We are currently testing one of our KAC air compressors.
For decades, we used Thomas T80 reeds in the KAC, and they were reliable and worked extremely well. Unfortunately, Thomas discontinued production of the T80 compressor about six years ago, and we have now exhausted the remaining supply of replacement parts.
To keep these compressors running, Keene Engineering is now manufacturing several key wear components, including T80 diaphragms and reed valves.
During this test, our KAC compressor has been running continuously for approximately 350 hours at 30 PSI while producing about 2.1 CFM.
That is plenty of air to support a couple of divers working in shallow water. So far, the results have been very encouraging.
