Congratulations to our boat 1 for being 1st runner up at the IHSA Sectional tournament on Lake Heidecke today with a great 12.5 lb bag! Both boats fished their lures off today! Great job to all our anglers today. Congrats to Minooka for hosting a great tournament and catching 13.4 for the win! See you at the state tournament on Carlyle!

A great job done today on Day 1 of the Collegiate Bass Championship on Pickwick Lake by the Murray State team of Ryan Park (former PSHSBFT President) and his partner Jacob Autry. This duo is in 6th place heading into Day 2 with 16.6 pounds. Best of luck and be safe out there. Proud of you Park!

Plainfield South High School Bass Fishing Team Records its 6th Victory in 5 years!

It was a brutally cold and windy and rainy day on Saturday April 27th at the Minooka Bass Tournament on the Des Plaines River at Big Basin Marina. 3 teams of 2 High School Anglers and a Coach from Plainfield South Bass Fishing Team Toughed it out on the river in the Fog and sideways rain. The Team of Joe Passo and Ryan Park and Coach Randy Park came out on top of the 48 boat field and brought home Plainfield South’s 6th Bass Tournament Victory in the last 5 years. The Biggest Victory was the 2017. The Team of Ryan Park and Tommy McDonald Won on Lake Clinton for Illinois B.A.S.S. Nation State Championship. Ryan Park is the only angler of the 11 different anglers to have won twice. Joe Passo and Ryan Park were able to stay warmer wearing their Empire Fishing Hoodies underneath their Gore Tex Rain Suits. The team was able to cull during the day catching their fish On Black & Blue Fish Hog Punch jigs with Black/Blue Pro Tour Baits ‘Yo Mama” Trailers. The Dark colors were the key to them culling when others struggled. Ryan Park will be fishing for Murray State University in the fall. Coaches Tired of just sitting in the Boat? Want to fish against other Coaches? The Veterans will Fish Against the other Veterans. The High School Anglers will still fish against the other High School anglers. 3 tournaments in one. Prizes in all divisions and a killer raffle. Most importantly Sharing your Boat with a Veteran ! Congratulations to Aiden Bollinger, Justin Malatia, and Coach Bud Edmunds on their win last weekend on Decatur Lake. The second 3 fish win in the 5 tournament wins for Plainfield South. Big fish was 5 1/4 lbs caught on a green pumpkin Fish Hog punch jig. He had it rigged on a Fox River Rod tied on with McCoy extra clear 10 # test. Great Job, Cougars!
