🇺🇸 REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

We remember the lives lost.
We remember the families forever changed.
We remember the courage of those who ran toward danger while others were running away.

And we remember the helpers.

As Fred Rogers famously reminded us:

“Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”

On September 11, 2001, those helpers were everywhere. Firefighters. Police officers. EMTs. Doctors and nurses. Search and rescue teams. Military personnel. Volunteers. Construction workers. Ordinary people who stepped forward to do extraordinary things.

Today, we honor every first responder who served that day, every person who continues to serve their community, and every helper who reminds us what courage, sacrifice, and compassion look like.

At Plainfield North Wrestling, we believe in showing up for one another. We believe in putting the team before ourselves. We believe that strength isn’t just measured by what you can do on the mat, but by what you are willing to do for others.

We remember. We honor. We are grateful. 🇺🇸

This Friday 8/21, Wrestling was given the opportunity to sell 50/50 tickets at the Football Game at North. We need parent and student volunteers to be successful and benefit from this fund raiser. Please see Coach Parton’s e-mail from this week.

Update on Solis and Kirby-
While they didn’t finish where they wanted to, we are so proud of their accomplishments to make it to Fargo.
We are proud of their hard work, determination, and grit preparing for this big National tournament.
We cannot wait to see what the IHSA season brings for them!
