Up the hill and through the woods... SRT had their first L4 interval session of the year! This is a reminder that even in this heat, get out and have some fun (AKA L4) in this beautiful valley we live in!

PVAW sponsored a Poetry Reading this evening at Plain Cellars.

PVAW is a volunteer run program of Plain Valley Ski Trails; all their registration fees and donations go directly to support the PVNT ski education program.

Come join the Methow Valley Nordic Team in Whistler Canada this August! This camp is for U16+, and is filled with so much fun!

A typical training day looks like:
Pete's playhouse in the morning (AKA a little morning movement)
Breakfast
Morning training at the Whistler Rollerski Loop
Lunch
Rest time
Afternoon workout: run, ski, or strength

Congratulations to our amazing PVNT tracksters! They had an amazing day at the district track meet in Cashmere, and we have two awesome girls who will be moving on to state!
First up, we have Cyan, who had an amazing day, ending with a season best in high jump! She jumped 5'0"!!!!
Next, the amazing Greta, who made it to state in not 1, not 2, but 3 events! She achieved personal records in all her events: the 4 x 200m relay, the 800m run, and the 1600m run, paving her way to state!!!

Congrats Micah! It has been so amazing to have you on the team, the energy and humor you bring are so valuable! Good luck in Montana, they will be so lucky to have you!

A word from Micah: I’ve gotten so much from the Plain Vally Nordic Ski team: physically, mentally, and socially. I’ve learned a lot, and I’m proud to say I’ve been a part of this team! This past season, I really enjoyed giving back to the community and helping coach. It felt like the least I could do to show my appreciation.

Next year, I’ll be heading to Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. Thank you to everyone in the ski community who helped me get there, I truly couldn’t have done it without you

Happy graduation to Olaf Saugen! Olaf has been such a wonderful addition to PVNT over the years, from racing for SRT to coaching the younger kids. Good luck with wherever life takes you!

A word from Olaf:
Next year, I plan to attend the University of Utah to major in business.
I absolutely love the PVNT community, and I’m super grateful for where it has brought me throughout my life, and for the people I’ve been able to meet.
