It’s finally here… the premiere of BattleBots FaceOffs – Episode 1 (part 1)!
And we’re kicking things off with a Round Robin mini-tournament featuring FOUR iconic teams:

Every robot fights every other robot once—that’s 6 fights total across the two part episode!

Or is it? Functionally everything works great and I was feeling pretty confident, until we tossed it on a scale today 🤣 Just a tad overweight, so somewhere in my calculations I messed up. But no big deal, I've got ~40 hours to get everything completed and loaded up in the van. Plenty of time 😝

BattleBots Faceoffs starts tomorrow, with fights over the weekend Sept. 20-22. And even though we're not fighting yet, I will be there to hang out with some of my favorite teams and check out the action! Tombstone - BattleBots will be fighting later in the year, over the weekend of November 1-3. If you're around either weekend, stop by and say hi!

I've got a slight bit of machining ahead of me 🤣 I am hopeful I can get this completed in time for BattleBots Faceoffs in a couple of months. Let me get a little further along and I'll go into detail on the unusual steel alloy involved.
