RIP Dolly Parton ❤️😇🎶

The world has lost a true icon. ❤️

Dolly Parton will be remembered for her incredible voice, her songwriting, her humor and, perhaps above all, the enormous heart she showed throughout her life.

For horse lovers, there is another beautiful part of Dolly's story.

Growing up as one of 12 children in the mountains of East Tennessee, Dolly came from a family with very little. As a young girl, she dreamed of having a pony of her own and riding through the hills and hollows surrounding her home.

Her family couldn't afford one, but horses would eventually find their way into the extraordinary legacy she created.

In 1988, the attraction that would become **Dolly Parton's Stampede** opened in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Horses became the stars of the spectacular production, with generations of magnificent animals and talented riders entertaining millions of families over the years.

There's something wonderfully fitting about that journey.

A little girl from the Tennessee mountains who once dreamed of having a pony grew up to become one of the most beloved entertainers in the world — and ultimately created a place where horses would bring joy to countless others.

Dolly's journey took her far beyond those Tennessee hills, but she never forgot where she came from.

Thank you for the songs, the laughter, the generosity and the memories.

Rest in peace, Dolly Parton. ❤️🐴
