Emerald Isle Step Dancers

The Step Dancers are committed to preserving and promoting their heritage in the art of dance. The group has approximately 100 students.

The Emerald Isle Step Dancers were founded in 1980, by twin sisters Margaret and Maureen Monahan and the group is still going strong under the direction of Jennifer Woss. We perform traditional Irish dances, as well as more modern pieces such as those influenced by Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. We perform year round for a multitude of audiences and organizations. The students range in age from 4 to 67.

Summer is when we build the foundation for the year ahead. We’re learning new stepwork to incorporate into our upcoming St. Patrick’s Day performances, reviewing our classics routines like the Fairy Reel, and preparing for an exciting competition season.
