We will be putting camps on as soon as the river freezes and the weather allows us to do so. The head smelt biologist for the state said it’s not clear why the season has been so poor for smelt fishing this winter.

BAKER'S DAILY UPDATE for Saturday, February 22nd:

Only one camp reported their catch of 35 smelts for last night's High Tide at 6:42 PM. They must have had a good time because they are returning tonight for one last try. :)

Today will be our last night on the ice until next season so if any of you want to get in one last try of smelt fishing give us a call. We still have a couple of camps available for the 2:10 PM Low Tide and the 7:40 PM High Tide.

We would love to see you before we close our 2013-2014 Smelt Fishing Season tomorrow at 8:00 AM.

BAKER'S DAILY UPDATE for Friday, February 21st:

Two camps reported catches of 45 and 22 on last night's High Tide which started at 5:45 PM.

We will only be on the ice two more days so if you want to come out for one more shoot at catching the all-allusive smelt give us a call... we still have a few Four Man Camps available for tonight and tomorrow.

BAKER’S DAILY UPDATE for Thursday, February 20th:

Wednesday, February 19th, we had one camp report catching 45 smelts in 3 and 1/2 hours.

Other camps were catching smelts but didn't provide us with any numbers before they left.

We still have camps available tonight, which is Thursday, February 20th, as well as camps available for all tides on Friday, February 21st and Saturday, February 22nd.

As we will be closing for the season Sunday, February 23rd, if you would like one last chance to fish this season with us please call as soon as possible to make your reservations.

DAILY UPDATE BAKER’S UPDATE for Monday, February 17th:

Happy Presidents Day!

Sunday, February 16th, we had the following reported catches:
Only 2 camps reported on the 3:15 PM High Tide: 40 & 3 smelts
Only 2 camps reported on the 10:15 PM Low Tide: 2 & 0 smelts

We wanted to let you know we will be ending our 2013-2014 Smelt Fishing Season on Sunday, February 23, 2014.

We will remain open every day, 24 hours a day, fishing all four daily tides, until that time.

If you would like one last chance to fish this season with us please call as soon as possible to make your reservations.
