Picture this: You spent all summer getting into the best shape of your life.
You’re now an avid gym-goer.
You meal prep.
You’re sleeping 8 hours every night.
You’re drinking plenty of water.
And then comes Halloween, followed up by Thanksgiving, then holiday parties, Christmas, etc… You decide you’ll get back into your routine for the New Year…
You won’t lose that much progress right?
💥WRONG.💥
Those healthy habits you worked so hard to build go to the wayside.
You stop worrying about your sleep because you’re not getting up early to workout anymore.
You aren’t meal prepping because you’ve got leftovers from the holidays.
You replace that extra water you were drinking with the homemade wine you were gifted.
Believe it or not, the average American gains EIGHT pounds over the holidays‼️👎
This may come as a surprise, but it’s true‼️
Now, I am all about enjoying your favorite holiday traditions, spending quality time with family while sharing delicious meals, and enjoying some festive cocktails, HOWEVER, I believe there are some tactics we can use to combat the dreaded holiday weight gain!
1️⃣Have a daily step goal (8-10K)! Making sure to get movement in counts!🏃♀️
2️⃣Make sure you’re getting protein in daily - It keeps you satiated longer than carbs or fats will.💪
3️⃣DRINK MORE WATER💦
4️⃣Get 7-8 hours of sleep per night😴
5️⃣Spend quality time with loved ones and focus more on the company and conversations than mindlessly grazing!🫶
💥Tag a friend or share with someone who can use it!
