The following rules are in place for your safety.
Rules:
General Rules For Property Usage
1.All motorized vehicles must display a valid Parking Permit in plain view.
2.Valid Membership Badge must be worn on outer clothing while on Club property or other positive ID must be with you if your Membership Card is forgotten.
3.Members shall be allowed to have guests accompany them on the property so the guests may view our facilities.
4.Anything you bring onto Club property, you must bring out.
5.No littering or dumping is allowed; respect our neighbor’s property the same way.
6.No target practice is allowed outside of the designated rifle and bow ranges.
7.No fires at any time.
8.No cutting or removal of any live trees, shrubs or other plants is allowed without the written approval of the Board of Directors.
9.Use or possession of illegal drugs is prohibited at all times.
10.All valid Associate Members have use of the property from January 1st to December 31st except for hunting, fishing, trapping and target practice on any range.
11.ATV use is by permit only and restricted to the trails marked for ATV use during deer season only.
Rules for Range Usage
1.The use of all ranges is restricted to Active Members only.
2.Use or possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited while using either of the ranges or while hunting.
3.Only paper or foam type targets are permitted, the use of glass bottles, tin cans, etc. and any other materials are prohibited, clay targets are no longer allowed. Wire frames and clothes pins are be used to hold targets.
4.Rifle range is limited to five (5) cars at any one time. Please park either face-in or back-in on the right side of the parking lot. Do not park on the left side of the parking lot.
5.Only eight (8) people allowed on the firing line at one time.
6.All fi****ms must be unloaded and their actions must be opened before anyone goes downrange to the target backstops.
7.Only legal fi****ms are permitted, compliance with the Generals Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is mandatory.
8.All bullets, slugs, ball or shot must impact the backstop.
9.The Rifle and Bow ranges are available for use from sunrise or 7:00 AM, whichever is later, to sunset seven days a week.
10.Please keep the range area clean. Place unwanted empty brass or steel cartridges in the marked containers and take your other trash with you, this includes spent shot shells, empty ammo boxes, used targets and any other trash.
VIOLATION OF THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN THE LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP, LEGAL ACTION OR BOTH.
NOTE: The Pittsfield Sportsmen’s Club, Inc. is not responsible for personal property damage or personal injury to anyone using Club property. It is the responsibility of each individual to carry adequate insurance.
