As we count down the days to the Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony on September 19th, let's get to know more about our esteemed inductees, finishing with Heather Moon McCaw ’87. To register for the event, click the link below!

Heather made an immediate impact at MCI in field hockey, basketball and track earning letters all four years. She earned the field hockey MVP and offensive MVP in 1985 and 1986, respectively, and was named first team All-State both seasons. On the track, Heather was a two-time team captain and the MCI track MVP in 1985 and 1986. In 1987, she won the Penquis League Discus championship and was a member of the Eastern Maine mile relay championship team which set a record that remains intact today.

Heather also excelled in the classroom and was a member of the National Honor Society. She was awarded the MCI Faculty Cup and the Coaches Award at graduation in 1987. Heather went on to play field hockey at the University of Maine, along with her twin sister Heidi, where she was a four-year letter-winner, and two-time team captain. She led Maine field hockey in assists her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.

A native of Pittsfield, Maine, Heather graduated from the University of Maine in 1991 with a degree in Child Development concentrating in Early Childhood Education. She went on to teach in grades pre-k through grade one for 21 years. She now teaches in a special needs Sunday school class at her home church. She and her husband, Ian, reside in Lynchburg, Virginia, and have four children: Christy, Paul, Callie and Corinne.

MCI Key Club is hosting the fourth annual Corn Hole Tourney to benefit the Bijou Theater on Sunday, November 8th starting at 10am in Wright Gym on the MCI Campus. Stay tuned to more details when registration opens.

MCI Boys Soccer fell 5-1 today to Mt View. The Huskies played another very strong first half but let it slip away again in the 2nd half. Cooper Allen scored the lone goal for the Huskies on a corner kick

JV lost 4-2 with Evan Dean scoring both goals assisted by Chase Rivera and Dominic Boumil

The Huskies travel to defending Northern Maine Class C Champion Orono on Friday, varsity 4:00, JV following

MCI Field Hockey battled hard against defending Class B State Champions Belfast falling 2-1 in varsity and 2-0 in JV

Kelsey Pomeroy found the back of the net with a great finish assisted by Lucia Wilson for the MCI goal. The Huskies put together a strong overall performance and showed great effort on both ends of the field, including some key defensive stops

The JV team put together some great runs and created some promising opportunities, while Madison Fehnel came up with several strong saves in goal

MCI Girls Soccer lost 4-3 in varsity and won 5-2 in JV at Mt View this afternoon

For the varsity, Mackenzie Dean had 2 goals and an assist. Myah Finelli has a goal and an assist. Mila Thompson also had an assist.

The girls never gave up and kept fighting until the final whistle. There were some tough breaks defensively but the girls kept their heads and kept fighting. Finelli and Bridgette Rancourt both had incredible games in the midfield, with double digit intercepts each

For the JV, Chloe Thompson and Giana Boschen had 2 goals each and Kirra Hebert added another. Caitlyn Hamilton and Rancourt each took turns in net and both played well. Anna Whitney had a strong showing at center back cutting off through balls and shutting down attack
