Since its creation, Simmons Gymnastics has had a wide list of accomplishments...

-Was originally denied funding, started running regardless, and was approved for full funding and university recognition 1 year later
-Applied for and received 2 Alumnae/i Association Innovation Grants of $1,500 each
-Competed in 9 official meets and 3 Intrasquads over 3 seasons
-Added 2 exemplary coaches to our sta

-Attended NAIGC Nationals in 2019 in Daytona Beach, FL and had 1 athlete twice in Level 7 WAG
-Grew from a roster of 5 to a roster of 25, always keeping the basis philosophy of sharing the love of the sport with all (no experience is ever required to join or compete)
-Secured our own home gym for private practice sessions once a week at GAB Cambridge (in addition to weekly open gyms at MIT/CCG)
-Hosted our own home meet at Fliptastics Gymnastics in Fitchburg, MA, called the Shark Week Invitational with 7 visiting teams
-Earned our first 2 team awards at the Shark Week Invitational (1st Place Developmental and 3rd Place Level 8)
-Graduated 5 seniors from our program
-Earned 12 individual medals for multiple athletes over 3 seasons
-Ran numerous successful fundraisers, partnering with companies like Panera, Chipotle, Neighborhoods Cafe, FT Signs (Apparel), Gymnastics and More (Little Boston Invitational), Clayroom, as well as hosting numerous bakes sales and other events like Pie in the Face Bingo
-Ran many bonding events like banner decorating, good luck note writing, game night, and the end of year Awards Banquet
-Created a large social media presence, including Youtube (meet highlight videos), Instagram, Facebook, a full website on Weebly, and soon TikTok

Here’s what our president had to say about our team: “WIT Gymnastics has greatly impacted my college experience. Being a part of the team has allowed me to meet so many amazing people, grow as a leader, and create so many great memories! Some of my favorite memories are from NAIGC Nationals in Albuquerque, NM.
