Intimidated or anxiety when going to the gym? Here’s 3 methods to help mitigate your concerns:

1. Be Prepared - look up videos of exercises you want to do prior to getting to the gym. when you understand what you’re going to do you have more confidence heading in.

2. Keep it simple - tell yourself that you only need to get there and perform 1 exercise, or show up for 10 minutes. (not literally) but thinking about 1 thing at a time alleviates the pressure of overthinking everything you need to do.

3. Set a Timer - inbetween your sets if you are consistently on a timer, it will be much harder to focus on being in your own head or watching others since you need to prepare for your next set.

if your hip / hip flexors are overly tight consistently or feel your hips tighten up with various exercises, give this one a go.

3-4 sets of a 15 second hold will help alleviate that pressure.
