Justin Steave vs. Brady Hovermale
145 lbs. Professional Main Event

Round 1-Round 1 of the Main Event. Hovermale takes center cage with pawing kicks to the legs of Steave. Hovermale pushing forward and winging head kicks. Hovermale throws and Steave counters hard. Steave is lighting Hovermale up with fast strikes but Hovermale is shaking them off. Hovermale catches a leg and takes Steave to the ground. Hovermale in Steave's guard. Steave is looking for a guillotine. Hovermale is trying to pull his head out and he stops the attempt. Hovermale back on top in the guard of Steave. Hovermale got opened up early in the fight and the blood is going everywhere. Steave is active from his back looking for a submission. Crweates a scramble and takes top position from Hovermale. Steave is heavy with the ground and pound while Hovermale is looking for any submission from his back. Hovermale is back to his feet and the crowd is going wild. Steave pushing him to the fence and he backs up and gives Hovermale some space. Steave again with the lightning fast combineations and is ready to counter. Steave is all hands and pulls guard with a guillotine attempt. Hovermale pulls out and is working his way out of the guard of Steave. Steave loosely attempts an arm bar but nothing happens. Hovermale is throwing lots of punches from the top. Hovermale stacking Steave's legs up to his head and is working punches to the head of Steave. Steave is not afraid to return strikes from the bottom. Hovermale is elbowing from the top and so is Steave from the bottom. Hammerfists from the bottom by Steave and the horn signifies the end of round 1.
In Ya Face MMA scores the round 10-9 for Steave because of the stand-up but it could go either way.

Round 2-Steave is bouncing on his feet and Hovermale is coming in. Steave with the crazy fast counters all landing on Hovermale. Steave throws a head kick and Hovermale ducks under it for a takedown. Hovermale is in full mount on Steave and is looking for an arm bar from the mount. Hovermale elbows from the top and slaps on a text book arm bar. Steave has no choice but to submit.

CO-MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING

Round 1-King gets off first with an inside leg kick on Baker. Baker appears to be looking for counters early. Kind shoots in for a take down and Baker secures a nice front headlock. Baker kneeing from the headlock, backs king up to the fence and drops for a double leg. Baker is grinding on King for the take down and lightly secures it. King is on his butt with his back on the fence. Baker pulls the legs out of King and is looking to climb to mount. King smartly trying to stand up but Baker's pressure is too great. Baker's got his head under the chin of King. Baker landing lots of short punches. King's attempts at standing up are repeatedly thwarted by Baker. King returning some frustrated shots to the ribs. Both fighters trading blows in an awkward position. King's back on the fence and butt on the ground. Baker is pinning one of kings legs to the mat in a modified half guard position. Chip Snyder is watching closely for a lull in action. Baker has control of King's left arm and it's enough for Chip to let it go. King stands up and Baker lands another easy take down. King has full guard and is actively striking from his back. King is in optimal position to work from his back. His head is oriented to the middle of the cage. Baker is opening up with big punches from inside the guard of King. Baker looks to pass but to no avail. Ten seconds left. And there's the horn. Not a lot of action this round.

Round 2-King takes center cage as the round opens up. Baker is pawing for big power shots and lands a counter on a swinging King. Head kick by baker and King rushes in for the clinch. Baker again with the double leg take down and passes to half guard on King. Baker working to fully pass the guard and he's got it. Baker in full mount on King and now he has the back. Baker is looking to slide in a rear naked choke but King's defending nicely. Not anymore as Baker is securing the choke. Baker's got a tight body triangle with his legs and King is in desperation mode pulling the hands of Baker. King with the “baseball bat” defense and is out of the choke but not the position. Baker again secures his body triangle and is fighting the hands of King. King's defense has been relegated to hand fighting. King quickly turns out of the position and is back to his feet. Baker is holding Kings back and kneeing the s**t out of his thighs. King is doing a nice job of staying on his feet and is fighting another Baker take down. King pushing the head of Baker trying like hell to not have his feet pulled out yet again. Baker's got him down but not in full control. King rolls forward for a knee bar with a somersault but can't make it happen before the horn.

Round 3-King takes center cage immediately and throws a nice head kick but misses by a mile. Baker stalks in with kicks of his own. King Lands a nice body shot but slips on a sweat puddle and has to retreat. King lands a double leg take down of his own and is climbing the body of Baker. Baker starts working rubber guard and is working for mission control. Gogo polata attempt is stuffed by King and he is still on top. Baker's guard is active and King is living on the defense. King stuffs Baker's head into the corner of the fence and is working the body with short punches. King passes to half guard and is secure on top of Baker. Baker creates some space and again is working his way through the rubber guard progression. Baker turns it into an omo polata but Baker is defending nicely holding onto his shirts. Baker is landing strikes from the back of King in omo polata position. King bounces his way out and is back in the uard of Baker. Mission control from Baker and he's elbowing the crown of King's head from the bottom. King is more defensive than offensive from the top position. Ten seconds left and Baker's back in omo polata. The horn sounds and the fight is over. Dominant performance from Josh Baker.

That makes it 30-27 by my account. I have a feeling the judges will agree.

Nick Browne vs. Cameron VanCamp
160 lbs. Professional

Round 1-Browne immediately rushes in with punches and ties p with VanCamp. Browne ahs double under hooks and takes VanCamp to his back. Browne is in VanCamp's guard with VanCamp's head pressed into the cage. Browne using short elbows and really smothering his opponent. Browne's forehead is grinding deep into the face of VanCamp. Browne is slowly doing damage to VanCamp. VanCamp's neck is jammed into the fence in and uncomfortable way. Browne looking for the guard pass and VanCamp is holding double overhooks. Referee Chip Ssnyder stands uip the fighters. Browne mounts the exact same attack and has VanCamp on his back again. Browne is elbowing anthe head and punching VanCamp in the floating ribs. VanCamp appears to be holding on tight hoping for a referee stand up once again. Browne is being very active with his grounded strikes. VanCamp could possibly be setting up for an arm triangle. Browne is staying as active as possible trying to avoid a stand-up. Brown pops out of VanCamp's guard for a moment and dives back into the guard of VanCamp. VanCamp has spent most of this round with hthe crown of his head jammed into that uncomfortable corner between the cage and mat. VanCamp scrambles and attempts a double leg. Browne attempts a headlock choke. Another scramble and VanCamp is on top. VanCamp stands up out of Browne's guard and both fighters stand back up. The horn signifies the end of round 1.

Round 2-Browne takes center cage again and throws a serious head kick followed with a spinning back fist. VanCamp pushes in for a take down of his own and Browne isn't having it. Browne turns VanCamp and his him pushed against the fence. Browne turns VanCamp and falls into his guard. VanCamp again pulling Browne into him using double under hooks. Browne doesn't give a s**t and is working on elbows. Browne passes into the half guard of VanCamp. VanCamp brings it back to full guard and briefly atempts a triangle. Brown shrugs it off and is back on top looking for big ground and pound. VanCamp back to half guard. Brown is “body body head”ing VanCamp. Scramble forced by VanCamp and he somehow ends up on top. VanCamp attempting a modified guillotine choke and his chances aren't bad. He commits to the choke by flopping to his butt and loses it immediately. VanCamp is working for a triangle/arm bar and lands a few elbows from the bottom. VanCamp could be setting up a triangle. Scramble ensues and both fighters end up in a mutual leg lock position. The horn sounds.

Round 3-Browne is showing the effects of his active first two rounds. VanCamp is smiling and appears slightly more fresh. VanCamp is pushing Browne on the fence but Browne looks ready for a counter attack. VanCamp breaks and looks to strike. VanCamp Lands a large overhand right knocking Browne to the mat. Browne recovers immediately and grabs te leg of VanCamp. Both fighters jockying for leg locks and a scramble once again. VanCamp on top of a north south position. Browne moves out and VanCamp has the front headlock. Scramble and VanCamp transitions from mount to back to mount and back again. Browne reverses and is back in the guard of VanCamp. Steady ground and pound from Browne but Chip Snyder looks ready to stand them up. And so it is. Both fighters are back up and Browne looks immediately for a single leg. Finishes it but VanCamp is working on a slick submission from the bottom. Browne shrugs it off yet again and is in the butterfly guard of VanCamp. Ten seconds left in the round and both fighters scramble their way into the horn.

Jeremiah Yeager vs. Jerrell Hodge
140 lbs. Professional

Round 1-Yeager starts the bout with a few outside strikes. Hodge lands a HUGE groin strike very early and the bout is halted temporarily. Yeager takes a moment to compose himself and the bout is back into action. No love lost and the fighters are circling again. Hodge takes center cage and is hit with a nice three piece. Yeager appears toe be getting there first with the strikes and Hodge takes Yeager down. Hodge on top against the fence. Hodge has an over hook and is landing strikes to the head. Yeager is working for a guillotine from his butt. Hodge keeps his arm in and pops his head back out. Hodge now in full mount and doing some nice ground and point on the face of Yeager. Yeager regains half guard but not ale to do much with it. Hodge is landing some SERIOUS elbows to the side of Yeager's head. Textbook ground and pound by Hodge. Yeager manages to get back to his feet and the crowd is going wild. Hodge takes center cage again and lands some very large blows to the head of Yeager. Hodge again clinches wand pushes Yeager to the fence. Hodge with a deep under hook and drops to a double leg “pull out” take down. Hodge is again on top of Yeager and posturing for some dirty boxing style ground and pound. Yeager again regains half guard and its 's the same story. Hodge appears to be setting up for a far side arm bar or kimura. He's got the position but it's too loose. Will he have the time to make this happen? Hodge rolls Yeager to his back and Yeager is in serious danger of getting his arm snapped. Ten seconds on the clock and Yeager breaks free, dives in on the ground and pound and is almost snatched into yet another deep arm bar. The horn sounds the end of round 1.

Round 2- Both fighters come into round 2 wearing the effects of a tough first round. Yeager strikes first with a nice leg kick but both fighters are thoughtfully circling. Yeager misses with a three punch combo. Hodge appears toe e setting up for a counter attack. Hodge gets off his first counter strike with a tight left hook to Yeager's cheek. Hodge leg kicks. Hodge again easily moves out of the way of a Yeager attack. Yeager lands a superman punch with no effect. Hodge is picking his opportunities beautifully. Hodge's head movement looks top notch. Yeager beginning to look hesitant to Hodge's game plan. Yeager paws with a jab and is countered by Hodge. Hodge jabs effectively. A lot of comfortable circling by both fighters. You may call this a lull. Hodge is circling Yeager against the fence, lands a huge combo and takes the legs out of Yeager. Hodge on top of Yeager in half guard and again looking for damage with the posted elbows to the cheek. Yeager's half guard is doing little to improve his position, as Hodge is pining his left leg with hit own. A la Randy Couture. Ten seconds left in the round and Hodge has Yeager on his back. The horn signals the end of round 2.

Round 3-Yeager takes center cage immediately and has a sense of purpose on his face. Hodge steals the center from him and pushes him to the fence. Hodge is looking to throw heavy hands. Both fighters circling and Hodge lands a nice inside leg kick. And again with that kick. Hodge lands a beautiful combo on Yeager and keeps it coming. Hodge is starting to put together some nice multiple punch combos and is wearing on Yeager. Hodge stalking Yeager from center cage and his punches are as crisp as round 1. Yeager is throwing frustrated strikes and Hodge is happy to return. Yeager is verbally taunting Hodge and the crowd is going wild. Yeager wants the win so bad I can taste it. Hodge is working on his inside leg kicks yet again. Hodge is living in center cage with no chance for Yeager to break into his realm. Lots of circling and smiling by Yeager and he takes center cage and lands some south paw jabs. Hodge changes levels and ties up with double under hooks. Hodge with Yeager pressed on the cage and his forehead under the chin. Yeager working a wizzer and the fighters break. Hodge throws his second wheel kick of the fight. Hodge throws a huge spinning back fist and slips onto his back. Yeager dives on top of Hodge for some ground and pound. Hodge quickly slaps on the triangle choke and submits Yeager within seconds.

Jason Alexander vs. Ethan Goss
140 lbs. Professional

Round 1-Circling are both opponents. This will be a fast moving fight. Goss misses with a big head kick and Alexander gets the takedown. Alexander in the guard of Goss and working on softening the body. Alexander is posturing for elbows while rolling through the guard of Goss. Both opponents tie up and Goss lands a hip toss. Alexander takes top position and has Goss pinned against the cage while Goss is working for a modified guillotine. Alexander shrugs it off and is back on top and posturing for more short elbows. Goss is holding Alexander tight in his guard while Alexander is still trying for those tight elbows. Goss possibly hoping for a standup by stalling in his guard. Alexander is stuffing Goss's head into the fence. Not a lot of damage being done here. Chip Snyder our referee stands the fighters up. Alexander and Goss trade leather. Knees and punches abound. Alexander with a beautiful take down and now haws Goss in a front headlock. Alexander takes the back of Goss and is punching the head. Alexander trying to open up the neck of Goss for a stranglehold. Goss is defending with the “answer the phone” technique. Both fighters on their side and Alexander still has the back. Alexander is riding Goss like a mechanical bull. Alexander still working for the choke and he might just have it. Alexander slips the arm under the chin and submits Goss with a rear naked choke.

Cody Karlheim vs. Chris Teague
155 lbs. Advanced Amateur

Round 1-Both opponents circling and throwing some heavy leather. Karlheim landing big leg kicks. Teague is looking for that big KO overhand right. Has lands it a few good times. Karlheim attempts a light takedown. Scramble and they're back to the feet. A lot of loud smacking noises coming from inside of this cage. A lot of respect being shown by both fighters. Teague continues to land the big overhand right. Karlheim attempts another takedown but to no avail. Teague attempts a standing guillotine and turns it into an opportunity for knees. Both opponents back to circling and trading blows. Teague attempts the double leg takedown. Karlheim resists and back to their feet again. On the feet for more trading of blows. Teague appears to be slowing slightly. Teague lands the giant overhand right, knocks Karlheim to the mat. A few grounded blows and Chip Snyder calls the fight. Brutal finish.
