Grant Springer Hockey Academy Grant Springer, a USA Hockey Level 4 coach who has coached Mite - Midget AA and AAA levels as well as coaching within the USA Junior A level.

As a native to Ontario Canada, Grant grew up playing Ice Hockey. In 1982 Grant was drafted to the Oshawa Generals (OHL), however after being awarded an Athletic Scholarship for Soccer at Alderson Broadus College (West Virginia) he decided to peruse the college route. Throughout college Grant stayed close with his hockey roots training with Gary Roberts (NHL Trainer) and Joe Nieuwendyk (former NHLe

r and current GM for the Dallas Stars) which lead him to a 2 season post-college career with the Markham Waxers (OPJHL) where as a call up for St. John's (AHL) he was able to play in 3 AHL games. Grant moved to the US in 1997 to take a position as the Hockey Directory at the Ice Zone in Youngstown, OH where he and Bob Hawthorne (who has a resume of his own) started the first Junior A team out of Youngstown, the Phantom Rockets which later evolved into the USHL Phantoms. In Grant is a USA Hockey Level 4 coach who has coached Mite - Midget AA and AAA levels as well as coaching within the USA Junior A level. Grant continues to train players during their off season, one of his students whom he still works with in the off season is JT Miller who is a 1st round draft pick for the New York Rangers. Grant has a passion and knowledge for the game and enjoys passing this passion and knowledge down to the next generation of players.

GRANT SPRINGER HOCKEY CAMP June 19 - 23...
Hockey camp for birth years 2001 to 2004. Camp will be held at Alpha Ice Complex in Harmerville 10am to 2pm every day. The camp involves an on ice session session then a dryland session, then on ice session. High tempo camp. Also, we limit the number of players in the camp.
