3 Must Haves In Your Go-Rig

1. Communications: Ham Radio VHF/UHF allows you to monitor and transmit in an emergency. Get your Ham radio license and follow to learn. A satellite phone allows you to text and call off grid. With a clear view of the sky and the right coverage you can communicate where phones cannot.
2. Survival/First Aid: Your rig and what’s in it could be your life line. To sustain yourself with enough food/water and essential first aid is critical. Have the ability to contain and purify water, start a fire, and stop the bleed are available via out kits on our website. The Vehicle Trauma Response Kit, our Survival Kit, a Mylar Space blanket, and TQ are great start points.
3. Recovery: Being able to self recover in austere and extreme conditions could mean the difference. Carry from that can be used for off-road rigs and cars, and carried in your trunk. Make a tire repair kit and know how to do basic maintenance. Diagnosing your own issues may save you time, money, and maybe your life. In Texas, people were stranded all over the state on highways and roads because of the winter blast.
