Carnegie Mellon University Figure Skating Club

Carnegie Mellon University Figure Skating Club CMU FSC is an organization that allows figure skaters of all levels to continue skating at Carnegie Mellon University.

The CMU Figure Skating Club gives beginner and advanced figure skaters the opportunity to practice their skating abilities through practices at a local ice rink as well as off-ice conditioning. CMU FSC strives to provide a safe and productive skating environment for its members. As CMU FSC does not currently have professional coaches, the members will take responsibility to assist each other in re

spectful and constructive ways. The organization seeks to provide opportunities for individual and group practices and performances through freestyle ice time, rehearsals, off-ice conditioning, and exhibition shows. CMU FSC hopes that these opportunities will build a sense of community among its members and encourage them to spread their love of skating to the rest of CMU. The organization will promote ice skating on campus by holding Learn-to-Skate lessons at a local rink for non-members and putting on exhibition shows to showcase the talents of its members to their peers.
