⛳ Our caddies need golfers like you!
The best way to support our Ready Fore Work Caddie Program, presented by Groundworks, is simple—book a round and request a caddie.
Now in its fourth year, the program provides approximately 35 teens with the opportunity to earn money while developing workplace skills like professionalism, communication, customer service, golf etiquette, and responsibility.
🏌️ Tee times with caddies are available Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Caddie fees are generously covered by our program sponsors, so there's no additional cost to request a caddie. Tips of $10–$20 are encouraged and greatly appreciated by our caddies.

🚔⛳ Calling all law enforcement golfers!
First Tee – Pittsburgh is proud to partner with local law enforcement through our Ready Fore Work Caddie Program at The Bob O'Connor Golf Course.
Officers and staff can enjoy 9 holes for just $6 when they play with one of our Ready Fore Work caddies. Every round gives our teens valuable on-course experience, helping them build confidence, strengthen workplace skills, and work toward future opportunities—including the prestigious Evans Scholarship, which provides full tuition and housing for qualifying caddies.
How to participate:
✅ Book your tee time online or through The Bob's app (please don't pay online—the $18 rate will still appear).
✅ Contact Coach Martin King-Smith at 412-638-2855 or [email protected] at least 24 hours in advance with your tee time and the number of caddies requested.
✅ Pay $6 at the golf shop and let staff know you're participating in the Law Enforcement Partnership.
There is no charge for a caddie, though tips of $10–$20 are encouraged and appreciated.

For more than a century, Bob O'Connor Golf Course at Schenley Park has been a place where people come together through the game of golf. Since 2008, we've proudly served as the home of First Tee – Pittsburgh, where thousands of young people have built confidence, character, and life skills on and off the course.
