Sign up for the Pittsburg Turkey Trot 5K now and save before price goes up on September 1st.

The Pittsburg Turkey Trot is more than a race — it’s a community tradition that brings people together before the holiday celebrations begin. Whether you're chasing a personal best, walking with family, or simply starting Thanksgiving morning with friends, the event is designed for everyone.

The downtown course is energetic, welcoming, and filled with runners and walkers of all ages. From first-time participants to longtime racers, the Turkey Trot has become a favorite way to kick off the holiday season together.

Every participant receives a commemorative long-sleeve race shirt and a sweet finisher medal to celebrate the morning.

The Pittsburg Turkey Trot is on Thursday November 26, 2026.

Who will be the 2026 Charity Partner be for our annual Thanksgiving 5K?

Last year, we were able to raise $18,000 through the event and had an additional $10,000 from the Nancy Miller Foundation for a total of $28,000 to our friends at the Children's Advocacy Center.

How much will we raise this year? No idea. The first thing that we need to figure out is who we will be partnering with this year.

Our application window is open until August 2nd at noon. At that point, our board will get together and go through all the applications and pick one from among all these worthy causes/organizations.

Our 2026 Charity Partner will be announced on August 8th!

Registration for the event goes live on August 1s! Early turkey pricing of $30 + fees/taxes.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Stars & Stripes 5K! Whether you ran, walked, volunteered, sponsored the event, or came out to cheer on participants, we appreciate you helping make this year’s race such a success.

Thanks to your support, we were also able to donate $1,500 to Outside the Wire and $600 to SEK Animal Advocates.

Thank you for helping us celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with our community. We hope you had as much fun as we did, and we can’t wait to see you again next year!
