Our men’s group with Bill continues! Join Bill at Pittsboro Yoga once a month on Wednesday evenings.

Men’s Group starts next week! You’ll find it monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

We gather because something in us knows that doing this alone isn’t the way.

Healthy masculinity doesn’t arrive fully formed—it’s shaped over time, in conversation, in honest reflection, and in the presence of other men willing to show up. This group is a space for that kind of work. A place where you can speak what’s true for you, listen to others doing the same, and find yourself a little less isolated in the process.

Pre-registration is encouraged. Sliding scale donations are appreciated. Bill volunteers his time, and a significant portion of what’s collected is donated to a local charity. In past years, we have supported Second Bloom and the CORA Food Pantry.

About Bill:
Bill Wofford has worn a lot of labels over the years—son, brother, student, husband, father, uncle, partner, lawyer, founder, entrepreneur, investor, facilities manager, yogi, runner, and more. These days, he’s less interested in the labels and more interested in showing up as a steady presence—someone who listens well, speaks honestly, and continues to learn. He studies consciousness, spends as much time as he can outdoors, and, when he remembers, takes stock of how much there is to be grateful for.

Join our growing community who gather on Sunday mornings to practice, breathe, and be together.

Sacred Sundays are a space for movement, meditation, energy practices, and meaningful connection — a chance to step out of the rush of ordinary life and into something more intentional, grounded, and alive.

These practices are designed to awaken vitality, steady the nervous system, and deepen awareness. Through breath, movement, meditation, mantra, and intentional practice, both Kundalini and Kriya Yoga invite us into a more energized, connected, and conscious experience of ourselves and our lives.

May we present the Class of 2026! So much love for this incredible group of humans.

Over these last eight months, we have witnessed them showing up with honesty, courage, curiosity, humility, dedication, and heart. We are confident that they will share their yoga everywhere they go: in the spaces they teach in as well as in their families, communities, relationships, work, and everyday interactions.

That is the practice.
That is the teaching.

What a joy and privilege it has been to walk alongside them for this chapter.

Thank you to Meadow DeFosche, our Director of Teacher Training, for her incredible leadership of our yoga school. Meadow has guided this program with tremendous skill, dedication, steadiness, humor and love — embodying what the yogic tradition calls “skill in action.” She has a beautiful way of holding high standards while also deeply seeing and encouraging each student as an individual. We have all been profoundly shaped by her care and wisdom.

“It’s often said that the most important pose in yoga is Savasana, or co**se pose. At the end of most yoga classes, we lie on the floor in stillness for five or ten minutes. On a physical level, it allows the body to rest and integrate the movement practice. At a philosophical and spiritual level, Savasana invites us to recognize and practice surrendering to our own impermanence — the central fact of human existence.

Yoga does not shy away from death. Quite the opposite. And, in its own way, neither has Yoga Garden. Over the years, this little studio has become home to some of the grief work led by heart2heartNC. I’ve come to understand that our classes and gatherings became a place of refuge for many people — a place to be held in kindness and compassion while facing life’s most difficult realities.

As Yoga Garden approaches its own ending, I felt it was important to try to model a “good” death. A thoughtful completion of the cycle.

It took me years as a teacher to learn not to rush the endings of my classes. To leave enough space for all of us to wind down and integrate. There is something healing about being allowed to complete an experience fully. We don’t always get that privilege in life...” - Lexie

Join Bill for our last Men’s Group in the Yoga Garden space. 💚

Our group’s mission is to create and uphold a welcoming space where men can share their lives and stories without fear of isolation or judgment. Here, you’ll find others who are also navigating life’s challenges and obstacles, ready to offer their support.

We recognize that sometimes, you don’t need a solution—just a compassionate listener who validates your feelings. Men’s Group is a place where you can be heard, understood, and supported. It’s okay to talk about the challenges of expressing emotions after a lifetime of being told not to. We want you to feel comfortable bringing your whole self to our meetings.
The group is offered by sliding scale donations - please register in advance so we know to expect you!

Join Lexie for the last Women’s Circle in the Yoga Garden space. 🥰

Our circle holds a sacred and safe space for women to connect with each other and the Divine Feminine within.

Our gathering includes a brief ritual to ground us in our connection to seasons and moon cycles. Our central practice is a sharing circle, using prompts to inspire authentic connection, heart-led communication, and deep listening. We seek to create a safe space where all can feel seen, heard, and held. Our gathering concludes with a guided meditation to allow our time together to take root.

Join Carrie for her final breathwork offering in the Yoga Garden space 🙏🏼

Elemental Rhythm Breathwork is a somatic embodiment journey designed to support growth and healing. Through deep, intentional breathing, this practice can guide you beyond the conscious mind, restoring balance by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. By accessing this deeper state, you can release old thought patterns, stagnant emotions, and energy that no longer serves you. Where awareness goes, energy flows—this process empowers you to shift your state of consciousness to nurture your own personal growth and healing.

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Carrie will continue to offering Elemental Breathwork every 3rd Saturday of the month at Pittsboro Yoga at The Plant!

To look back at these photos is to see a garden in full bloom. 🌱

As we move through our final classes at Yoga Garden, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the life that grew here. This studio was built on a foundation of tradition, devotion, and heart. Lexie’s vision and Dharma’s deep roots in the Dharma Yoga tradition, as a student of Sri Dharma Mittra, created the soil where so many of us took root and grew our practices.

Dharma served as our lead teacher trainer in the early years, and her influence continues to ripple through this community. In 2022, Meadow — herself a student of Dharma’s — stepped into the role of lead trainer and helped evolve the program while carrying forward those roots with her own wisdom and voice. Over the past nine years, Yoga Garden trained five classes of yoga teacher trainees — practitioners who deepened not only their understanding of yoga, but their capacity to hold space, teach, and live the practice more fully.

Over the years, we have shared thousands of breaths together. We found strength and resilience through Vinyasa and Hatha, explored energy and expanded awareness through Kundalini and Kriya Yoga, and softened into surrender through Gentle, Yin, and Restorative practices. We practiced outside during a global pandemic. We practiced on Zoom from our homes. We practiced through seasons of grief, transition, celebration, healing, and change.
Yoga Garden became many things to many people over the years — a community space, a sanctuary, a place to gather and grow — but at its core it was always devoted to the practice of yoga and the ways it can transform how we live, relate, and move through the world. Every practice, every teacher, every shared breath, and every person who stepped onto these mats helped shape the spirit of this space.

Final Reminders:
✨ Last regular classes: Join us on the mat through this Friday — and use your class passes!
✨ Closing Ceremony: Sunday, May 17th. Let’s gather one last time.
✨ Encore: Special events continue through the end of the month, including Kriya Yoga, Grief in Motion, Women’s Circle, and Men’s Group.

Thank you for being part of our story. 💚

Join us for the last Grief in Motion in the Yoga Garden space. 🙏🏼

We will cultivate specific practices during times of grief that help us find ease in our bodies and minds. Our time together includes guided movements taken from the Kundalini yoga tradition, breath-work, stillness, and conversation, plus live music and sound.

This recalibration allows us to build new neural pathways to prevent our minds from falling into old patterns of physical and emotional pain. We will also include periods of stillness that allow for integration of the physical and emotional work. These sessions conclude with a voluntary opportunity to share for those who wish to do so.

heart2heart believes that these modalities of healing are important and accessible to all humans seeking to heal their sorrows and to remember their sacred path in life.

Offered by sliding scale donations. Please register under Events + Workshops
