Some of you who have known me on here for 6 years or so might remember the time I rolled up to a bar soap making class out in the woods (1 hour from my home and supplies) and was in the middle of making a batch of soap with the students when I realized I had brought the wrong kind of lye…the one used for LIQUID soap making! I guess one big ol’ SNAFU every 5-6 years isn’t too bad of a record, but ugh!
Well, this time, I was so organized, ahead of the game even— showered, dressed, all materials and supplies packed, fresh flowers and leaves harvested and ready to go and I was on-track to get to the class venue an hour early to setup in a state of utter relaxation and calm…
Only to learn that I had the time WRONG! Like..2 HOURS wrong and the students were waiting for me (and some had already left)! Cold sweat doesn’t even begin to describe it!
A huge thank you to the folks who were able to wait and create their beautiful colorants and a bigger apology to those who weren’t able to!
⏰If you’re planning on joining me for a workshop later this summer, please rest assured that I have now triple checked my calendar to make sure I’ve recorded to times correctly!
💚 And check out these ridiculously gorgeous prints from the students in our class at the Chatham Arts Center in Pittsboro! If you haven’t been to the Arts Center yet, definitely check out the catalog!! I pretty much want to take every class and workshop being taught- ha!
