🚨 SCHOOL RECORD 🚨

Sydney Baker set the new school record in the 200m dash with a time of 25.19! The previous record was held by Sue Cox with a time of 25.30 in 1976! Sydney is also your Region 16 Regional Champion in the 200m dash!

For the third time this season, Sydney Baker has broken the 100m dash record! Today in the Regional Finals she ran a 12.12 beating her record from Thursday of 12.24!

Big things happened this week at our Regional meet! The Jets are taking TEN athletes to the OHSAA Division 5 State Track & Field Meet! 💪🏼
- 🥈 Sydney Baker took 2nd place in Pole Vault, qualifying for the state meet!
- 🥈 Sydney Baker took 2nd place in the 100m, both qualifying for the State meet & breaking her previous school record running a 12.12! ⚡️
- 🥉 Girls 4x100 took 3rd place, both qualifying for the state meet & breaking the school record with a time of 50.07! ⚡️ - team of Mia Brookey, Hannah Wolfe, Quincy Cox & Sydney Baker
- Boys 4x100 takes one of the 3 at large bids to qualify for the state meet!- team of Madex Skidmore, Keven Huang, Evan Addis and David Reed
- 🥇 Sydney Baker comes home as a regional champion in the girls 200m & with a new school record of 25.19! ⚡️
- The girls team placed 3rd overall out of 36 teams, just 3 points short of a runner up finish! 💪🏼

The Jets had a great start to the Division 5 Region 16 meet!
Punching their ticket to the State meet is Ethan Wilson (Discus) & Faith Wintrow (Shot Put) both placing 5th and earning some hardware! 🏅
