The Pipestone County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 24, at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Room at the Pipestone County Courthouse.

Following the repeal of the Statewide Deer Hunting Shotgun Zone Law, counties in southern Minnesota may now choose whether to allow rifles for deer hunting or to remain shotgun-only. The Board is seeking public input before making a decision.

Those attending the hearing will have the opportunity to share their comments in person. Individuals who are unable to attend may still provide input by contacting their county commissioner or submitting a written statement.

Public participation is encouraged.
