Hard to recall a more meaningful trip and experience than this past weekend. Finally checked off my bucket list item of traveling to Iowa and the The Field of Dreams Movie Site. Played baseball on the actual field for three days.

It was awesome experience with even better people. Arrived Thursday for uniform pick up and some batting practice, though I spent most of the time sh****ng ground balls on the infield. If you know or play with me, this is not a surprise.

Friday and Saturday were gamedays. Managed to collect a few hits, pitch a few innings while playing with people (most from Texas) who understood the weekend was about the experience, not the final score.

It felt a lot like home. Good people enjoying the game of baseball and each other.

Met plenty of cool people. Handed out every business card and damn near every sticker I had in my bag. Got to network and promote the field. We even brought a 42 Field care package that was left with the Field of Dreams folks. I hope my time in Iowa brings more eyes and visitors to our field. Seems like there are plenty of folks in Texas who are interested in making a trip to Ohio.

Earlier this summer, I collided with a teammate in a game. Bent my knee straight back and tore my PCL and cracked some bones. My summer was spent managing and organizing from the sidelines. I started playing again a few weeks ago.

And now another milestone: I was discharged from physical therapy this morning. Special thanks to Kelsie and Abbee for getting this ballplayer back to what he loves.

Lot of shoutouts to go around: Cory Apt for returning as our umpire, Tano's for the post-game grub, Williams County first responders for doing their thing, Jessica Durham for going into Mom Mode when needed, LuAnne Haupt for being the (retired) nurse on hand.

Sending a lot of love to our guy Tyler Christman. Wishing him the best on the road to recovery.

And thank you to everyone who was a part of 2026. Was an up-and-down season but the good weekends were fantastic.
