Rusty Ross is the main man and the master call maker at Dirty Reds and he's been busy on a wide range of projects from premium wood calls, classic Micarta calls, and plenty of goose calls. Here's a line up of goose calls that showcases various options that are available from Dirty Reds. Call makers can get a fully polished call, the "flat black" special, or the popular satin finish showcased on the last two calls on the right end. There's also a wide range of band opitons from polished brass or polished stainless to a premium black anodized aluminum band. Here's a flashback to July 2017 when the HAAS machines arrived at Dirty Reds in Pinson, TN. There's been a lot of duck and goose calls turned on these machines, and Dirty Reds has come a long way since the day these machines arrived to start a new era in duck call making. We have so many customers to thank for their continued support by having Dirty Reds make their duck and goose calls. We would love to share a list of the names of all of these call makers but many of them want to keep it a secret that Dirty Reds is their trusted shop for all of their CNC work. Just wanted to take a minute to express our sincere appreciation.

Here's an insert Dirty Reds cut on the CNC for a customer. If you're thnking about getting your duck or goose call made on a CNC than right now is the best time to get the ball rolling. Most call makers seem to wait until it's nearly duck season and by that time Dirty Reds is so booked up you'll be lucky to get any parts made before the season closes. So get things in motion early this year so you can get some custom duck and goose call precision crafted by the master! Because if you want them done right than you need to let Dirty Reds make your parts!!

we've been so busy we haven't had much time to post updates on our various projects. we get a lot of questions and one that we hear often is, "what calls does Dirty Red hunt with?" Well, the easiest way to answer this popular question is to post a photo of Rusty's lanyard. He's got one of his new designs that's a Cut Down Lite which has a traditional bark but blows more like a regular "J" frame, a goose call, one of his super nice wood and acrylic barrel combos that baffles most folks on how he makes that style, and there's also a call designed by one of Rusty's close friends, World Champion Buck Gardner. A well rounded assortment of calls that has fooled more mallards than most calculators can count!

Dirty Red's has turned off the lights and shut down the CNC equipment until after the first of the year. A well deserved R&R!! But before shutting things down for the holidays Rusty finished up this awesome acrylic goose call for a customer out west. A classic design with an excellent choice of color combos that will certainly provide customers with a variety of options.

Dirty Red's has been running full throttle trying to keep up with the demand from call makers all across the USA. Here's a sample of some acrylic inserts that were just finished up. Only the transparent green insert up front is polished and the back row are great examples of acrylic inserts fresh out of the mill.

here's a batch of Curly Maple goose barrels and inserts that just left the Dirty Red's shop and will soon be on the way to a call maker friend up in Canada. These are fresh out of the CNC lathe before any sanding or finishing. Take a close look at the smooth turned wood. Needless to say, Rusty is a master at fine tuning the CNC so the parts come off the lathe smooth as butter and require very little attention to finish. Superior CNC turned acrylic and wood goose and duck calls are what you can expect from Dirty Red's!

we're working on a batch of goose calls for our friend Stephen who lives up in Canada. We sent him one to try and he says it works great and is looking forward to getting more. Great photo of his goose call!

if you're thinking about having your duck or goose call made on the CNC you should seriously think about getting it on the schedule. We are busy and if you wait much longer you'll be lucky to get calls done in time for the upcoming waterfowl season. Give us a call and we can get the ball rolling because it's a process.

here's a custom insert that we did for Live Action and it's a great example of another part cut on the CNC using authentic Dymond Wood. This had a quick scuff, dipped in the Dirty Red's secret sause, and than a 30-second buff. Looks great!
