So, I was scheduled for this training last month but, you know, coronavirus said NO! 🦠

Thank goodness for technology because now the training is online and it’s tomorrow!

This is a first for the Zumba home office, which, like the rest of us, has been working hard to make sure we continue to take care of our people. We’re all making adjustments so we can keep the ball rolling and our Zumba crew happy.

I’m so excited to add this specialty to my offerings. It’s been fun adapting my usual Zumba routines to fit the needs of those who require slower, lower-intensity/impact movements and now I’ll have some new skills and routines that are JUST for this set.

You loved class before but now just you wait...

Many Latin rhythms are influenced by the music of Africa and Cumbia (from Colombia) is no exception.

Cumbia is a fusion of drum rhythms from the Africans who were captured in Africa and enslaved in Colombia (some escaped and built their own communities that formed today’s Afro-Colombian culture), the gaita (a flute-like instrument) from the indigenous people of Colombia, and the accordion from Europe.

The African drum rhythms are really what makes Cumbia CUMBIA. The drums are the foundation of the rhythm.

I’m so excited about this new option from Zumba!

Using ZIN Studio™️ means that you’ll have access to recordings of my classes so if participating live isn’t an option then you can still dance with me!

I know a few of you have reached out about recordings before but that wasn’t a “legal” option until today.

I’m working on my playlist now! Stay tuned!
