Parker Miller—Parker uses his supreme agility and body control to carve through the defense. When focused he’s capable of locking in on both sides of the ball, creating plays for teammates, and can heat up from deep. He goes 110% and does not back down the moment. We’ve been working together for around two years, and Parker consistently surprises me with something that he does or tries to do. His creativity and confidence are remarkable. I love watching this kid play, some days you’ll pull your hair out, others you’ll just ask yourself “did he just do that”. I’m really excited to see the player he becomes as he develops.
To refine what makes Parker a special player would be more difficult (from a developmental perspective) in your typical 5v5. The idea is that with more possessions in the half court with extended quality pressure under a shot clock the players will get more opportunities with more space and time on the ball.
The rules and structure allow the players to spend less time running up and down the floor, (and holding the ball to keep away from the other team) and more time playing basketball.
