Loving the new Signal series from Sage Fly Fishing especially the 7wt and 8wt rods. Feel almost effortless in hand, a clear departure from the Maverick series, which I also loved but for different reasons. These aren't the same ultra-stiff rods as Sage's previous midrange USA made series. I can say that the Signals definitely punch well above their price points.

Throwing out all of that 'underfur' from craft fur? Stop! It's great as dubbing for various shrimp and minnow patterns. Just pinch/pull/comb it out and throw it in a bag or puck for later use.

Loving the new Evos Salt line of fly rods from St. Croix Fly more and more each day. If you haven't thrown one yet here's your wakeup call. Don't think there's a good adjective I can't apply to these sticks. Thinking hard about picking up this 8wt for myself and slapping Galvan Fly Reels Torque T-8 on it.
