ccustom dictates we give the bad news first.
after several years of price registration stagnation, we've been compelled to bump the price of admission up $5. the past five years or so, the race director has been in the red, mostly because he is inept, and partly because he tried to fight creeping inflation. unfortunately, he finally gave in to the pressure before BARC fires him.

the good news:
for the next week plus, in honour of our friends at Wilson's Cheese Shoppe, who are first in line to sponsor the races and are always generous with the cheeseplates for the st. pat's expo (come see us on saturday!) you'll get last year's prices if you type in WILSONS for the promo code. you have until 22mar before this code expires, so get in now before 2026 prices kick in.

The race director had some old shirts sitting in his garage that he needs to get back into storage for next year. But before he did, he thought he should make them a little more interesting for people who already have one or perhaps were waiting for something like this to occur. Either way, this is really just an attempt to get a little more money for the town of pinconning, one donation at a time.
The reverse tie dye looks a little better than in the picture and the purple shirts were made purple through and through so their pattern is a little more subtle.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported the 40th CheeseTown Challenge Races this year! Whether you ran, walked, cheered, gawked, volunteered, or contributed your time, talent, or treasure in any way, we are incredibly grateful for all of you.

We would like to acknowledge the Rotary Club of Pinconning and Standish Michigan for their EXQUISITE service at our finish line aid station; the Pinconning & Fraser Fire Department and the Pinconning Police Department for doing an OUTSTANDING job of closing streets and making sure our runners and walkers were safe; Miller Race Management (Mitch Miller and Sheila Mahoney Miller) for doing a CHEESETASTIC job with timing our races; Elizabeth Mayfield and Addison Mayfield for assisting with registration, award medals, and anywhere else they were needed; Wilson's Cheese Shoppe, Williams Cheese Company, Pinconning Cheese Company, and Town & Country Supermarket for supplying our runners and walkers with CHEESETASTIC cheese and DELICIOUS fruit; and to all our participants -- because without YOU, there would be no CheeseTown.

TODAY is RACEDAY! Get Your Cheese On and head to the Pinconning CheeseTown Races and Festival! 2 Mile Run/Walk starts at 6PM, 5 Mile Run starts at 6:30PM and Little Meeces races begin at 7:30PM. Late Registration/Packet Pickup 4:00pm - 5:45pm. All in front of the Boys and Girls Club on North Street in Pinconning. Be There Or Be Square!

1. What Better Way to Celebrate Father's Day Weekend?
The CheeseTown Challenge races are a great way to bond with dad. Run together. Walk together. Cheer each other on!

2. 6pm Start Time
No need to set an alarm or wake up early. You could even run another race in the morning and still make it out to the CheeseTown Challenge!

3. The Pinconning CheeseTown Festival
The CheeseTown Challenge Races begin and end at Doc Letchfield Park where the CheeseTown Festival takes place. Enjoy vendors, kids' activities, food, music, and MORE before and after the races!

4. Unbelievably Low Entry Fees
High quality Special Design race shirts available for only $5 more than the very reasonable race fee. No shirt option available as well, but why not? Get Your Cheese On!

5. Unique Race Distances
You will be pressed to find another race that offers a 2 Mile Run/Walk, 5 Mile Run or Iron Cheese (Both Races). Challenge yourself and/or set a new Personal Record!

6. Little Meeces Races
Free Entry (before June 1st; only $5 after that) for all Little Meeces (kids age 8 and under). Every finisher gets a medal and shirts available for an extra $5.

7. Support the Community of Pinconning
All profits from the CheeseTown Challenge races will be donated directly back to the community. Beneficiaries include, but are not limited to, the Boys & Girls Club and the Pinconning High School Track & Field program.

8. Fast & Flat Course
Course is all on roads, so no hills or obstacles to contend with. Truthfully, boring and probably hot, but you can zone out while dreaming about the finish line treats waiting for you when you are done. Bring along family and friends to root for you!

9. Fireworks
Bring a lawn chair and stay after the race to watch the free fireworks show taking place just after sunset in Doc Letchfield Park.

10. CHEESE!!!
All entrants will receive FREE CHEESE! More cheese will be handed out during awards ceremony and age group winners will receive CHEESEMENDOUS portions!

Late registration tonight at the Mac & Cheese dinner and tomorrow in front of the Boys and Girls Club from 4pm - 5:45pm. Feel the Power of Cheese!
