MidWest Xplosion We are an 02 team based in West Frankfort, Illinois We are an 02 team based in West Frankfort, Illinois.

Seeking to give area athletes an opportunity to develop their skills without the extreme travel and costs usually associated with travel ball. We work very hard to keep our cost down by offsetting the high cost of travel ball with great fundraising opportunities throughout the year. We play a great mixture of double headers and small round robins within an hours drive of WF as well as tournaments

within a 2 hour drive. With our excellent facilities in WF and our park hosting 3 tournaments a year we have the opportunity to play some excellent competition right in our back yard. This provides athletes' extended families an opportunity to watch our ladies play that they normally don't receive playing in tourneys far away, as well as keeping costs down for families.

Great article!

The Terps were 0-8 and facing a pitcher who hadn't allowed a run this season. So how they heck did they beat Florida?

2015 Has been a great year for the us!
Since last fall our athletes have worked hard to be successful on and off the field. Finishing the year 59-30-1, with numerous 2nd place finishes, including USFA Northern Nationals, and 3 first place finishes, 2015 has by far been our most successful season.

PROACTIVE COACHING

For most athletes approval equals worth – always look for opportunities to give praise but give it when it is earned. When you receive something that has yet to be earned, it has no lasting value and it doesn’t help kids learn what skills can achieve through perseverance. You can always praise great effort and attitude - if you get those two things you will get skill improvement and be able to praise performance that is real.
