Congratulations to the Raiders for their hard work and sportsmanship in this year's 2015 Columbus Day Great Lakes MyHockey Tournament. The Raiders were runners-up this year in the Bantam A group.

Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League announced today that the 2002 Kensington Valley Raiders will compete in Howe 1 Blue Division for the 2015-2016 LCAHL season. The Howe 1 Blue Division will be comprised of 9 Bantam teams from southeast Michigan. Each team will play a home and home against all of the other teams in the division for a 16 game LCAHL season. 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for loss. The team with the most points will win the division.

The 9 teams to compete for the Howe 1 Blue Divisional title will be:

KVHA Raiders; Brighton MI
NYHA Ice Cats; Novi, MI
Lakeland Hawks; Waterford, MI
Livonia Knights; Livonia, MI
Plymouth Stingrays; Plymouth, MI
LCFHHA Fire; Farmington Hills, MI
B&M Tower: Jackson, MI
KVHA Rebels; Brighton, MI
Lapeer Storm; Lapeer, MI

The 2002 Raiders win the "Rock 'N Roll Cup" youth hockey tournament hosted by Hockey Time Productions. PeeWee AA teams from Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York participated in this year's tournament. Congratulations to this year's PeeWee AA Champions; the 2002 Raiders!

The 2002 KVHA Raiders win the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League (LCAHL) PeeWee AA Howe 2 Orange Division. The Raiders went 11-2-1 during regular season play and move on to the post season in LCAHL playoffs. The Raiders will compete in the Campbell B bracket in the post season. Congratulations Raiders and good luck in the playoffs!

The 2002 Raiders win the "Big Chill" youth hockey tournament hosted by Big Bear Tournaments. Twelve PeeWee AA teams from Canada, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Colorado participated in this year's tournament. The championship game featured the Lapeer Storm and KVHA Raiders.

The Raiders traveled to East Lansing to take on the Lansing Spartans today. The Raiders lead 4-2 after 2 periods of play: however, the Spartans of Lansing came back with 3 goals in the 3rd to take a 5-4 lead with less than 4 minutes to play. The Raiders pulled their goalie with just under a minute and a half remaining with a face-off deep in the Spartans' zone. With the man advantage the Raiders were able to find the back of the net with less than a minute in the game to tie the Spartans 5-5; but it didn't end there. Winning the face-off at center ice the Raiders took control of the puck in the offensive zone and with 2 seconds left on the clock found the open man for a tap-in game winning goal. Your final score Raiders 6, Spartans 5. The Raiders improve to 3-1-0 in the Season.

The Raiders record their first home win of the season with a victory over the Royal Oak Eagles, final 7-2.

The Raiders traveled to St, Mary's Athletic Complex in Orchard Lake, MI to take on Orchard Lake Untied (white team). The Raiders struck early in the first minute of the game and never looked back winning 4-2 in the final. The Raiders improved to 1-1-0 in the very young season. Next opponent will be back at home in Brighton, MI on Sept 18 against the Royal Oak Eagles.

The Kensington Valley Raiders season and home opener versus the Novi Ice Cats saw 7 goals in total, with the home team falling short; the final score of 5-2 in favor of Novi. With a total of 16 penalties it was hard for either team to get into the groove of things. The Raiders will look to bounce back in their next game when they travel to Orchard Lake, to take on Orchard Lake United (white).
