A check presentation ceremony was held Thursday, June 22, as a donation was made to the local Make-A-Wish Foundation to benefit their annual fundraising drive. Amounting to $4,500.00, the funds were donated by members of the Piggott Heritage Car Show group. The check represented the proceeds from their annual show and auction, held the Friday evening prior to the car show. On hand to accept the funds was local Make-A-Wish volunteer Mistie Gossett. Those who took part in the presentation were, from left: Dave Potts, Randell Woodam, Penny Veal, Bill Veal, Mistie Gossett, Kim Hoskins-Young and Danny Carter.
