The Stormchasers battled their way to a 2-0-1 weekend at the KBC Mother’s Day One Day Tournament, facing the same opponent twice in an all-out battle. After the first matchup ended in a tie, the rematch turned intense fast with toxic fans, rising tension, and Coach Chase successfully appealing the game length to force extra innings — a decision that changed everything.

And the boys answered.

Easton Acor finished the tournament with a perfect batting average and slammed the door shut in extra innings with a clutch three up, three down inning that secured the defensive stand the team needed.

Caysen McDonald earned MVP honors after ripping the line drive that brought home the go-ahead run, sending the Stormchasers into celebration mode and the opposing side into complete chaos.

Carlos Rodriguez earned the Limitless Solutions Tournament Hammer Award after blasting the first out-of-the-park home run of his career, joining teammates Easton Acor and Matthew Wilson in the Homerun Hitter Club and just three days after getting his cast removed from a broken elbow.

“Hustle, Grit, Class” wasn’t just a motto this weekend. These boys lived it all the way to 12U Champion. Thank you Cole Peter for picking up with us!

And because this was a Mother’s Day Tournament, we need to discuss the true heroes of the weekend: the Stormchaser mamas. 💙🌪️

Michelle Lemons… absolutely legendary performance. Watching you smile and wave at the opposing team while they drove away yelling profanities was honestly one of the calmest acts of violence I’ve ever witnessed. No yelling back. No attitude. Just a beauty queen parade wave like, “Y’all have a safe trip home now.” Elite behavior.

Kristina McDonald, I watched you physically remove yourself from conversations the second the vocabulary started sounding less “youth baseball” and more “late-night reality TV reunion special.” The self-control was admirable because I know the Lord was testing you.

Mrs. Taylor Wice stayed planted in that umbrella chair the entire time looking like she was waiting on a margarita refill instead of sitting beside a full-blown baseball riot. Not a single emotion. I’m still not convinced your heart rate ever changed.

And Kellie Vaught… somehow managed to stand directly in the middle of the chaos while still only cheering for the boys and not participating in the nonsense. The FBI should honestly study your focus.

Meanwhile, the opposing crowd spent extra innings auditioning for WWE while our moms somehow kept it classy. “Hustle, Grit, Class” apparently means different things depending on which side of the fence you were sitting on.

In the end, the boys handled business, the moms kept their crowns on straight, and the ride home for one team was probably very, very quiet.

Happy Mother’s Day to the Stormchaser mamas. Y’all earned this win too.

⚾️ Happy Mother’s Day to our Stormchaser Moms⚾️

Today we’re trading the dugout for some well-deserved downtime to celebrate the real MVPs of the Sevierville Stormchasers!

To the moms who:
• Are the first ones up and the last ones to leave the fields.
• Manage the "baseball laundry" magic that gets those white pants clean.
• Spend countless hours in folding chairs through every inning, rain or shine.
• Keep the snacks stocked, the water jugs filled, and the cheers loud.

Your dedication is the heartbeat of our teams.
Thank you for the long days of practices, the weekend-long tournaments, and for always being our players' biggest fans. We truly couldn't do this without you!

Enjoy your day—you’ve definitely earned a home run today! 💐🏆

# # 🌪️ **WANTED: THE NEXT GENERATION OF BALLERS** 🌪️

Are you ready to move beyond recreational ball and start building something elite? The **Sevierville Stormchasers** are officially opening interest for our **6U Competitive Team**, and we are looking for families who want more for their athletes.

⚾ **THE VISION: BASEBALL IQ STARTS NOW**
We hesitate to call this "travel ball" because we aren't driving across the country—we’re playing right here in our own backyard in the **Knoxville area**. This is for families who simply love the game and want more for their players *now*, not years down the road.

Our goal is to teach the game from the ground up—the right way. In this dugout, we don't wait until 9U or 10U to talk strategy. Under the leadership of **Head Coach Chase Singleton** (also the coach of our **11U AAA Stormchasers**), we are teaching **Baseball IQ and fundamental excellence now**, giving these boys the same blueprint used by our older elite teams. We want a core group of committed families who will **stay together and grow together** for years to come.

🔥 **THE STORMCHASER ADVANTAGE**
* **Local Focus:** Practices are held locally, and we play a few tournaments throughout the summer right here in the Knoxville area.
* **Affordable:** We believe in high-level development without the high-level price tag. We take pride in keeping **team fees low** for our families.
* **The Ballers:** We are looking for players who can already competently catch and consistently hit coach pitch.
* **The Future:** Eligibility: 6U (Must not turn 7 before May 1, 2026).
# # # 🏆 **THE PLAN**
* **Projected Schedule:** A few local tournaments throughout June & July.
* **Legacy:** Joining an organization entering its **14th season** of excellence.
* **Stability:** Long-term unity and a clear path from 6U and forward!

📲 **READY TO GO?
**Tryout date and time will be determined once interest is collected.** **TEXT 865.567.8851** today to submit your player's info and secure a spot for evaluations. Let’s build the future of the game from the ground up!

The Stormchasers battled not only their opponents, but at times what felt like themselves this weekend. Finishing 1–2, they walked away with a few lessons learned… well, hopefully.

Game one brought a tough matchup against the Knoxville Stars, a team that apparently had a GPS locked onto every open patch of grass on the field. It didn’t matter if the defense shifted left, right, up, or back, they were going to find the gap like it owed them money. The boys stayed gritty and never quit, but came up short in a hard fought game.

They shook it off and rolled into game two with fresh eyes, and finally things clicked. The bats came alive, teammates were moving along the bases, mostly as intended, and the Stormchasers locked in a solid win.

Over the course of the weekend, though, all eyes kept drifting to the outfield, and for good reason. #17 Parker Halgren was everywhere. Left, right, in front, over his head, it didn’t matter. If it was in the air, Parker had plans for it. His cat like reflexes shut down more than a few scoring opportunities and kept the team in the fight.

And just in case that wasn’t enough, he decided to contribute a little everywhere else too, taking the mound, swinging the bat, and doing damage wherever he was needed. A true utility player in every sense. Through it all, Parker kept his signature calm, cool, and collected demeanor. No panic, no cracks, just steady as a rock.

Well earned Tournament Hammer. No debate there.

Huge shoutout as well to Hudson Collins and Timmy Worley for stepping in and helping out while we were short handed. We appreciate you guys jumping in and rolling with us this weekend!

The Sevierville Stormchasers battled through the weekend and came out with a strong 3–1 record.

Saturday started off about as wet and messy as it gets. Rain everywhere, field conditions less than ideal, but the boys didn’t let it slow them down. They showed up ready to play and took down the Diamond Aces. Meanwhile, Coach Chase faced his own challenges as the opposing parents accused him of throwing off their pitcher 😂😂😂 intentionally. Someone give that man a “bolt” for not engaging with that nonsense.

The second game didn’t go our way, as the Stormchasers dropped one to the Crossville Blues. It was a tough loss, but the team stayed locked in and didn’t let it carry over.

By Sunday, the energy was right back where it needed to be. The boys faced a strong Diamond Nitro team and battled their way to a big win, earning a spot back in the championship against the Diamond Aces. And this time, they finished it. Stormchasers came out on top and brought home the championship.

One of the biggest moments of the weekend was Mason Wilson taking the mound for the first time. As the youngest player on the roster, he showed a ton of confidence and toughness, handling himself like a veteran. He didn’t just step up on the mound, he made an impact at the plate too, consistently putting together solid hits.

Colton Wice earned the game ball with a strong bat and great work in the outfield. Caysen McDonald stepped into the first base role this weekend and more than held his own. He was steady defensively and came through with key hits that helped keep things moving.

It was a full team effort all weekend long, and the boys earned every bit of that championship.
