The 2026 SDHP Tournament is over, and it was a good one. On Day 1, we had some wind to battle and ended up with 26.66lbs. Day 2 was sunny with little wind, and we ended up with 22.62lbs. We managed a second-place finish and have the bragging rights this year. We are already planning for next year!

I have been on the boat many times with family and friends but today was something special. Chris climbed in the battle ship today and was all smiles the whole day even with the wind. We caught around 26 walleye today and every fish was a trophy in Chris’s eyes.

On our way to the dock Chris said he wasn’t sure about eating the walleye but he had thirds and said it was awesome.

I got the opportunity to fish Lake Orman this weekend with Connor Barnes in a walleye tournament. It was an awesome weekend and a great tournament that was put on. Connor and I ended up placing 3rd place and all fish were caught on Rain Shadow blanks built by me.

Took me 5 years to draw my Francis Case paddle fish tag. Did a lot of research on different techniques and ended up using the old fashioned cast and jerk method. Took me 9 fish to finally land one over 50lbs and man my body hurts today. My 10th fish weighed in at 63lbs. Thanks to my wife Nicole Barnes taking care of the kids over the weekend while I was gone.
