AJF Martial Arts of Pierre, SD AJF Martial Arts offers teachings in Taekwondo, Judo, Hapkido, Weapons Training, & Self Defense. But above all that, we are a family. Supportive and strong.

Head Instructor: Master Tom Lehmkuhl, 5th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo & 3rd Degree Black Belt in Judo Rooted in Korean Tae Kwon Do and Japanese Judo, our school strives to promote excellence and well-being in our students. We teach a blending of various martial arts: Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Jujitsu and Hapkido. Our students gain the knowledge of self-defense, strength and endurance as well as self-control and respect. Under the direction of Tom Lehmkuhl, 4th Dan in Taekwondo & 3rd Dan in Judo, our school has grown to become increasingly recognized in the American Jungdo Federation and our students are strong competitors in regional tournaments. And we have LOTS of fun. Come see for yourself!

Date for 2026 AJF Invitational Judo & Taekwondo Championships is set. Tournament will be on Saturday, Oct. 10th in Cody, Wyoming. Speak with Master Lehmkuhl for applications and further details.

Hey Pierre-AJF'ers, to help prepare for the Aug. 15th Promotional Belt Test there will be a practice session on Sunday (Aug. 9th) from 1-2:30pm.

Practice before a belt test builds muscle memory, reduces anxiety, and ensures forms, stances, & foot/hand techniques are executed with precision and power.
